This is a great site from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation with all sorts of handy (and amusing) ways of being environmentally friendly in the workplace and at home. The Green Guru Q & As are worth a look. There are also calculators and other tools you can use to calculate your emmissions savings and that type of thing. Remember a lot of these ideas save money and your health as well.

The office where I work meant to be a 'green office'. A few people are in need of a bit of a kick up the pants though!

That's a fantastic building! Some of the things they've implemented are even better than the solar power panels we're working with in the states. I think the only thing keeping us from having something like that in the states is the impact. (Not wanting to change the way things are done).

Yes, isn't it. Some of the innovations in the areas of energy efficiency are amazing.

Good to hear. is that a company wide policy?

Yes, it is company wide. We no longer use water bottles and they changed all the lights to special bulbs. My boss actually went to a "green" event last night and was dressed in a green shirt.

Our office may actually move to a solar powered building within the next year.

Cool! We are kind of limited as to what we cna do in our building as we only occupy a few floors of it. Have managed to suggest some changes to building management though which now apply on every floor, eg, waterless urinals (not sure how those work!), lights going out at night, rubbish recycling etc etc.
