I crave chocolates around three too. Perhaps the body has finished digesting and assimilating the lunch by then and is ready for some carbohydrate.
Or it is just the hormones.

I think it's something to do with 3pm is around the time our blood sugar drops. I've just had a coffee & shared a Picnic bar!

Lol. Well it is 3:30 now and I have still not succumbed. Wish me luck!
COuld be but as JSM used to say "Why is it so?". 3am also seems to be a weird time.

Not just chocolate o'clock, but chocolate cake o'clock.
I prefer chocolate to chocolate cake. Just liked that photo because the clock was set at 3 o'clock!
Yum! I should bring some milo into work as we have milk provided here. Would be cheaper (and probably healthier) than having to go and buy a chocolate bar from the newsagency under the office.
I think it also depends what you eat for lunch =)
Just had brownies around 2 pm because had unsatisfying "Light" leggo pasta today.
isn't it a lot to do with what you eat for breakfast? I don't know because I never suffer from the chocolate crave or even the 3 o'clock crave.

I had a major chocolate attack last night 10pm. 2.5 candy bars worth. I had great dreams :))
Yes, that would do it. I hate those 'light' meals. You always end up needing to eat two of them.
So what do you have for breakfast, cat? I am lucky to get a piece of toast with my coffee although sometimes my husband makes me eat porridge (yuck!).
Kind of depends on the time of month for me - sometimes I hate it and sometimes I can't get enough!
I wouldn't be able to get to sleep at all if I did that!

Well I don't have breakfast until 10am because I go for a run at 9am and I have to do that on an empty stomach or else it's all I can think about - the food sloshing around in there. So when I get home I either have an egg on toast, muesli with yoghurt or protein shake with frozen fruit (in summer). So that means I don't have lunch until 1pm (which is always tuna cheese tomato toasted sambo). Then thats usually it until dinner. Although I'm trying to remember to have an apple every afternoon about 4pm because I keep reading what a superfood they are.

And I don't know if you are a sardine fan, but John West now have little sardine tempters like the tuna and they are sooooo good. I have them in my sambo sometimes.

I've never been much of a sweet tooth though, I'm a savoury girl. Give me a plate of chips and gravy or corn ships and salsa any day.

Sounds very healthy, Cat. I have much better this year about bringing enough food into work with me so I don't have to go and eat takeaway crap and succumb to sweet cravings. I quite like those mini tubs of peaches - find that if I keep those in my drawer, I can eat one at sugar dip time and helps get over the chocolate cravings.

I never find them fulfilling enough on their own. Ok if I mix them with a tub of yoghurt. I don't like fruit much at the best of times - like veg better.
I ate loads of peaches and plums when pregnant with my son - couldn't get enough of them. Now he is also a huge stone fruit fan (ie, to the point where I have to stop him or he will give himself the runs).

They're just never very nice now. I only really have woolworths to shop at and most of the stone fruit is always rock hard then you get it home and it's rotten the next day! I do like nectarines though.

I hate supermarket fruit. Fortunately we have really good greengrocer near us where we can get stone fruit by the tray load when it is in season. OUr local Lebanese corner shop also good for stone fruit (think apricots and things very popular in the Middle East).
I'm learning :))
