From my mother's garden

This is really for Emjay who wanted to see my mum's Japanese-style pebble garden:

This is actually not the main garden but a little side bed.  there is a larger bed with two larger trees which look something like the one Emjay posted photos of.  Was a bit hard to photograph that bed though.  Hope this gives you enough of an idea, Emjay.

Thank you! That looks really pretty. I think I might try to do something like this. It will make the front look interesting after the leaves have fallen in winter. Might have to cement the water bath (or is it a fountain) into the ground to stop someone stealing it though! :-)

Do you mean like a bird bath? It is terrible having to worry about people pinching things from your garden. I remember when my daughter was in Year 1 at school, the kids all planted a native garden near the school boundary and some ---hole came and pinched all the plants from the garden!
