This is from the card my 5yo son made me for Mother's Day.  He was too proud of this effort to be able to wait until Sunday to give it to me! 

I am feeling proud of him too.  On Friday he got an award from his kindergarten teacher for his great participation in class discussions.  My shy boy has come a long way!

Bet he really made your day, Cath! That's really sweet... I used to make cards for my Mom as a kid on her birthdays and Valentine's Day but you know how some Asian women are LOL She's not sentimental and wondered why I gave her those. Hahaha. But I knew she loved me anyway, even though I was quite disappointed in times :)

Thanks Connie. Maybe your mum just found it hard to express her emotions. My dad was like that. We would always just hear from other people how proud he was of us etc etc.

Thanks, Susan. Unfortunately he is now refusing to let me kiss him goodbye at school as it would be too embarrassing. I tried to sneak one this morning but no luck!

aww that's so adorable! I guess I'll have to learn from you about kids before having one, have to get used to that if that happens and kiss him alot before we stepped out of the house to take him to school? hehe
