More details here. I used to have a tape of hers that I played a lot. I also have this song, Mayibuye, on a compilation CD. What an amazing voice. I had no idea she was this old. :(

Heard her name before but I'm not sure if I'm familiar with her songs. Rest in peace anyway, Miriam.....

It is truly a loss for the World of Music. One less songbird to sing.
