New phone - the continuing saga

Comments

Ha!

I had to go back to read your posts about the phone, but glad you got a replacement. I *still* don't have a permanent replacement for mine that I lost in January. We've been told so different things by every different person we speak to at 3 and the current story is that they won't even give us a new phone at all now.

The *did* loan us one for 3 weeks, which I was grateful for especially as I really needed one during the Great Peak Hour Breakdown on the Great Western Highway a couple of weeks back. If I hadn't had one with me I would have been in the pooh for sure.
So is yours still covered by warranty, FG? Why don't you just sign up with a new provider and get a phone as part of a plan (or are you still under contract with your current provider)? I am on Three and find them okay - my phone was out of contract when it broke though.
No, we're still under contract. We were initially told that we could pay out the contract, then they said we couldn't do that and would have to wait until it was up when we'd get a loyalty upgrade, and now they've said that we won't get an upgrade at all because they're trying to phase out those type of contracts (we have the mobile-to-mobile plan because partner and I mostly just phone or text each other). Looking for a new provider for when the contract is up (on 2 May) because I'm just too annoyed by it all.
How sucky! Three have the mobile to mobile thing (assuming this is nto who you are currently with?) which is good for us as my husband, mother and brother all have Three phones as well.
LOL Next time you might have to buy 2 phones. One for yourself and one for the kids. Hehe.
