QotD: Technology Lends a Helping Hand

Comments

Well, these questions I notice are sponsored by Best Buy - obviously they want you to think about shopping there. Except, I'm not sure that we have Best Buy in Australia.
I have never clicked on the link so don't know if it is a shopping destination or a market research company. They are doing a good job of annoying people though!
Oh, I just assumed that it was the retail chain Best Buy which is approximately the equivalent in the US of Harvey Norman or maybe JB HiFi here.
You are probably right. I had never heard of Best Buy before.
Ha. I just responded to one of these 'sponsored' qotd's and had a little rant in there about them all. I have to admit I did answer it, though. :)
I nearly did but got annoyed when I scrolled back and saw that the last 5 QotDs were all sponsored by Best Buy and all about the same thing. As someone said on Connie's blog, at least they could be a bit more varied.
Aaaah, I love the comments in here... Your rants are much politer than mine. :)

In other news - yes, Best Buy is a (crummy) retail store in the US. Just letting them sponsor is frustrating enough, but another QOTD section had all the questions about golf. Blechyuk. (pouts)
I think there are a few 'alternative QoTD' groups you can join to get away from the Vox ones (which are getting pretty crap, I think). I don't even bother with news and politics anymore as it is always about US politics. The other option is to join those daily groups, eg, Quote Your Neighbour on Wednesday, Things on Tuesday etc and use those for posting inspiration.
