Man shot twice in Kings Cross attack

Australians will have seen this numerous times already.  Everyone else, it is pretty funny.  It turned out later that "Clare the Bogan" (as she has been dubbed by the media) made the whole thing up.  The guy who really did get shot is not impressed at all. 

The new philosophical quote on everyone's lips at the moment is "Chk chk boom!".

I was so surprised at how much fame Calre achieved in such a short time, t-shirts, coffee mugs and a rap song all about the " Chk chk boom" It is addictive tho. Chk chk boom. Chk chk boom.

Anything that highlights the slack work ethic in the Aussie media has to be a good thing.

The Herald Sun even got the quote wrong. Chk boom is no substitute for Chk chk boom.

Nope! It's the end of this month. I podcast the Hamish & Andy show as well as a few other Australian radio shows, so I listen daily to the news from down under. :)

Have a great trip then! You can see clips of Hamish and Andy on youtube too. They do a segment on a tv show called Rove. Hamish also pops up on other shows like Thank God You're Here and Spicks and Specks. He is such a quick witted guy.

I have such a crush on both of them. :) Do you know what city they record in? The publicist in AU is trying to get Scott on their show for me so that I can meet them. They talked about nametags on their show yesterday, I'm going to e-mail them about Scott.

I'm sooo excited. I can't wait.

Melbourne, I think. I have seen Andy being picked up by his supermodel girlfriend at Sydney airport though so I think he goes between the two cities. He was carrying a Tickle Me Elmo doll with him at the time!

That is hilarious. I didn't realize his girlfriend was a super model, I know they're always talking about how he's way out of his league, but they never say what she does. Isn't Hamish's girlfriend famous too? Doing something on TV?

I don't know who Hamish's girlfriend is. My brother (who has met him before) and I were just saying the other day that he must be the most eligible single guy in Australia if he is single as everyone seems to love him (men and women).

No, he and his girlfriend Anna have been together about 4 years I think. And he totally would be. He's very cute. And HILARIOUS. I like laughing more than looking, anyways. :D

I really dislike Toyotas (though I recognize your Avalon has been reliable, and I now realize I unknowingly dissed your old car when I wrote that comment!). These days, most Holdens are Daewoos, and they are worse!

No, that wasn't me. I have an old Saab and an old Ford Falcon (used to have an old Corolla though).
