We first saw this at Sydney's Sculpture by the Sea. It was one of the kids favourite sculptures because it reminded them of some of the creatures in the new Dr Who. Imagine how thrilled they were to find it parked in a front yard we regularly pass after Sculpture by the Sea had finished! According to the virtual gallery on the Sculpture by the Sea website, the artist of this piece is Dillon McEwan and it is called "carcutter". It was for sale after the exhibition for $70,000. Not sure if the car (an old Mercedes Benz if you can't tell from the picture) is still driveable though. Would make quite a statement driving it around, I think!.
